Slow Cooked Reload Elk Chili

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground meat (elk featured)
  • 1 Onion Chopped
  • 3 Bell Peppers Chopped
  • 3 Cans Beans (1 can Kidney cans 2 cans White beans featured)
  • 2 cans Diced tomatoes
  • 2 Cans Tomato Sauce
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp Reload Fully Loaded seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Cumin
  • ¼ tsp Chili powder
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne
  • 1 Avocado
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • With 1 tbsp Olive oil, sauté chopped onion, and bell peppers for about 5 minutes. Add in garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Add in ground Elk and brown meat until cooked through. Season the meat with the spices, Reload, Cumin, Chili Powder & Cayenne
  • In a crock pot add in, diced tomatoes, cans of tomato sauce, small can of tomato paste, and the 3 cans of beans  and stir together well.
  • Combined in cooked ground elk and cook on low heat for 5-6 hours (high heat for 3 hours)
  • Serve topped with light cheese and avocado
